Super Junior gets the Youtube triple crown

Following the release of their fifth album, “Mr. Simple”, Super Junior has achieved the Youtube “Triple Crown”. The teaser video for the “Mr. Simple” MV has received the top ranking in the categories “Most Viewed Videos”, “Top Favorited”, and “Most Discussed Videos” since appearing on the site. SM Entertainment advertised the teaser on Super Junior’s official site, as well as the Facebook pages for the group and SMTown.
The “Mr. Simple” album has also done well on Korean music sites, taking the top spot on charts such as Melon, Bugs, Dosirak, Mnet, and Soribada. Newsen describes the title track as a song that “expresses the reality in which people live their lives with mind constraints through the use of realistic, humourous, and metaphorical lyrics”.
Super Junior will have their first comeback performance of “Mr. Simple” on KBS Music Bank on August 5th, the same date as the release of the full music video and physical copies of the album.
